DSP Jobs DC is a DSP (Direct Support Professional) recruitment effort for the DC metro area. This job site connects potential employees with developmental disability provider employers throughout the area under the banner of the DC Coalition.
The DC Coalition of Disability Service Providers
The DC Coalition is launching DSP Jobs DC to combat the challenges of recruiting a direct-support workforce and to make the application process simple and straightforward. DSP Jobs DC's sole purpose is to find and attract individuals across the DC metro area who may wish to be a Direct Support Professional (DSP) and help them immediately connect to an employer of their choice.
About the DC Coalition
The DC Coalition of Disability Service Providers is a professional organization that provides support and services, consistent with choice, to people with intellectual and other disabilities. Founded in the early 1970's, the DC Coalition currently represents 54 members, which in turn support over 2,000 persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities and employ over 4,500 staff.
Coalition members provide residential, day, employment, in-home and other waiver services and supports to the citizens from the District, assisting these residents in becoming more connected to our community.
The DC Coalition's Mission
The Coalition advocates for the most promising practices in the industry and serves its members by ensuring continuing progress toward greater quality of life for those with intellectual disabilities and other disabilities who reside in and around the greater Washington, D.C. area.
